I just uploaded a short essay about centrism, connecting it to some characters and storylines from Star Wars. This piece was originally a slideshow presentation, then a youtube video, and eventually became this essay. I had plans to start a youtube channel combining my loves of Star Wars and political theory, but school got in the way and it hasn't happened yet (though I still want to do it). Regardless, I had a lot of fun writing this essay, and wanted to share something with the world while I eek through my last few quarters of undergrad.

I want to note that my writing expressly isn't non-partisan or unbiased. I have strong political beliefs, and my assertations aren't always going to make immediate sense to a lay reader (though hopefully they will make sense to people interested in this kind of content). This essay, for example, isn't meant to be an unbiased evaluation of centrism; it's a takedown of a political ideology I see as ineffective. If an essay I write is unbiased, I will explicitly state that. Barring that statement, assume my writing incorporates leftist, Marxist, abolitionist, queer, and trans ideology.

Fall quarter this year has been busy. Ruminating on my fast-approaching graduation has left me reckoning with my future career plans, especially my lack of said plans. I never knew what I wanted to do as a kid, I just wanted to be a girl. During high school and early-college, I was too depressed to take internships or fellowships. Now I'm about to graduate, have very little experience in my field, and have a shortage of life plans. All this to say, I'm stressed. I try to write when I can, but life is a lot sometimes.
